2019 40 Hour Famine

A group of 23 students took part in the 40 Hour Famine this year as part of the Long Bay College team.  Collectively the group raised over $3200. Year 9 student, Sam Lacey raised a total of $387.50 and was the highest earner for the fundraiser. The funds raised are donated to World Vision for refugees in South Sudan.

A group of four Year 9 students produced a creative 40 Hour Famine video, documenting how they gave up their devices for the weekend and how they spent their time instead. Congratulations to: Kyle Dymock-Smith, Dylan Burrows, Keegin Gibbs and Matthew Lloyd. They were awarded certificates for their awesome effort.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s 40 Hour Famine. We look forward to building our Long Bay College 40 Hour Famine team next year. Watch this space!
