Talented DVC students real-world designs

Recently, Level 2 DVC students completed their Architectural Design portfolios. Their aim was to create an innovative and sustainable design for the Mangawhai Heads Surf Lifesaving Club. Models were tested, CAD drawings were manipulated and ideas were refined to extreme detail, resulting in highly impressive outcomes.

Level 3 students have finished working on their major internal assessment where they developed a concept, refined and researched the design and discussed how to bring their idea forward into technical drawings. These significant projects form part of their external assessment and will  be presented at our end of year DVC exhibit (watch this space for dates). The students are now working on a product design. They’ve explored different modes of media to problem solve their ideas and scaled prototypes have been made using the 3D printer and laser cutter.
