A taste of Germany

“The Best Bread Baking Experience,” is the claim Gustav Kahn and Ayden Kim in Level 3 Business Studies are making about the delicious, premium Deutsches Brot (German bread) pre-mix they have created as part of their studies. Based on Gustav’s special family recipe, the bread mix contains delicious organic wholegrain flours and ingredients such as Pumpkin seeds, Linseeds and Goji berries.

“When the bread comes fresh out of the oven, it’s warm and just tastes so delicious. Fresh is best. This loaf is great for a special occasion,” says Gustav. Because the bread is so authentically German, Gustav has sold quite a few packs to international German students. “They really miss the bread from home,” he says.

Product samples have proved very popular with students at staff at Long Bay College lucky enough to have tasted the bread.

“Gustav enticed me to write this newsletter item by plying me with bread samples. I tried it and I think it’s a great product, delicious and packed full of seeds,” said Long Bay College’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Jan O’Connor-Brown.

The team have had great success selling their bread pre-mix packs at night markets, church and school events. They are tracking well against their sales target but are keen to broaden their market and are ready to welcome orders from the wider community. Packs need to be pre-ordered and will be available from Monday, September 9, so get your orders in now. Packs can be posted (at extra cost) or picked up from Long Bay College’s reception.

The pre-mix packs cost $15, contain all ingredients, plus baking instructions for one special loaf.
