Football Boys 1st XI

In the opening game of the season, Long Bay College Football boys came up against Pakuranga College. Our team made a strong start and came close to opening the scoring on a number of occasions before Codey Phoenix netted in the 15th minute. Freddie Martin doubled the lead after a fine cross from Charles Mani. Long Bay led 2 – 0 at the half time break. After a slow start to the second half, substitute Josh Avenell scored a third goal to extend the lead. Pakuranga managed to pull a goal back before Charles Mani scored two late goals to make the final score 5 – 1. Well done to the team for a great start! We wish the team well for their next game against Takapuna Grammar.
