Fun Chemistry challenge for Year 13 students

Our teachers know how to make learning fun! Level 3 Chemistry students enjoyed the unique experience of making strands of Nylon 6,10 in our college laboratory. Nylon is the generic name given to synthetically produced Polyamides and this particular variety is commonly used in the production of brushes and bristles. Our students were very careful when pulling the extremely fragile nylon strand from the two layer interface in which it was created. They did well to stretch it, unbroken, between nine students. Well done team!
