International Alumni Tyson Cao

This year we have opened our doors again to our international students from 18 different countries.  These students embrace all the New Zealand opportunities here at Long Bay College.

We are not only welcoming people from different cultures and backgrounds, we are creating opportunities for all New Zealand.

See below how being an international student at Long Bay College has made a difference to one of our Alumni international Students, Tyson Cao.

Hi everyone, I’m Tyson. I studied at Long Bay College as an international student. Studying abroad has always been my dream, and Long Bay College impresses me with its incredible culture of care and supportive international team. The school ensures you have a memorable time, from the wide range of academic subjects to the exceptional co-curricular programmes. It made me independent and step out of my comfort zone. My time at Long Bay nurtured me and helped me reach my potential: leadership, academic and co-curricular opportunities that got me scholarships from top universities. I’m sure you’ll have the best time here and remember to step out of your comfort zone and take the opportunities.

(I would have never known that kayaking would be one of my favourite activities if I did not take Discover Aotearoa, an exceptional outdoor programme)

Tyson has now been awarded a scholarship to study further at Singapore University.
