Keeping safe and well

School is a place safe to be, and is the best place for children and young people to be interacting and learning alongside their friends and teachers. Since the return to school after lockdown, Long Bay College has seen great attendance levels by our students.  However, it is important to remember if students are sick they should not attend school. We urge parents and caregivers to keep unwell children at home until they have recovered. If your child displays one or more of the following symptoms, a cough, a high temperature (at least 38˚C), shortness of breath, a sore throat, sneezing and runny nose or temporary loss of smell, it is recommended that you call Healthline (for free) on 0800 358 5453  or your doctor immediately.

To report an absence from school, please complete our new form on our website here.
