Viewing the entire Auckland volcanic field after a climb to the top of Mount Eden gave us scale and perspective. The two classes then headed to the Auckland Museum where we received booklets which directed us to interesting exhibits and information about the Auckland volcanic field, which built on our pre-existing knowledge. The next stop was the Auckland Observatory Stardome where we attended a lecture about the basics of stars. The content was brilliant revision for our up coming exams. We watched a movie in the Planetarium which also gave us a useful perspective. Overall, the trip was a great learning experience.
