Combined Stings and Choir workshops with Northcross Intermediate

As part of Long Bay College’s value of Community, the school’s string Orchestra and Choirs held workshops and performances with their corresponding groups at Northcross Intermediate. On Friday 7th May, 18 string instrumentalists visited Long Bay College and worked with our string group. Shauno Isomura is the director for the groups at both schools and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to combine the groups together and to also have them perform to one another. Senior Long Bay College string players also led sectionals and the final combined play together was especially rewarding for all students.

Friday 21st May was the opportunity for the two Long Bay choirs to visit Northcross Intermediate. 55 choir members entertained a full audience in the Performing Arts Centre at Northcross and also held a combined sing with over 200 Northcross students who were treated to the skills and energy of LBC’s choir Director Mr Brian Lee. The Massed Choir -led by Mr Ronayne and Voxette, directed by Brian Lee then repeated their performance to the Northcross Intermediate School choir.
